Our Love Story
We're getting married!

01
Before We Met
I was born in Libreville, Gabon while Michael, one ocean away, in Denver Colorado.
I came to the US to study Electrical Engineering and quickly fell in love with this country.

Where we Met
Malicka and I first met at Pike Engineering in the summer of 2018. I was a new hire and Malicka, who had been with Pike for over a year, was assigned as my "mentor". It was immediately clear to me that this woman had unfathomable depths to her, but that it would take a bit of effort to get her out of her shell. Over the next six months, our relationship grew from coworkers, to friends, and by Christmas of 2018 it was clear that both of us wanted more.

03
Our First Date
In April 2019, we finally took a chance and went on our first date, exploring Denver in springtime.
04
Danigael moves back to Colorado
Our relationship moved into the "serious" phase when Danigael moved back to Colorado from Gabon in August of 2019. After that, the three of us became an inseparable unit, even throughout COVID.

05
We Move In Together
By November of 2020, we moved in together.

The Unit Gets Bigger
In early 2022, we got the news that our family would be growing some more and a little one was on the way. Danigael was excited; Malicka was really hoping it would be a little girl; needless to say, I was terrified. Three became five when Bobbie was born and Djanon joined us in Denver from Gabon to help take care of the kids.

The Engagement
After getting Malicka's father blessing, I had initially planned to do something very sappy and silly on Valentines day, but one night, we were cleaning up dinner. Bobbie was being cute and adorable helping take things into Malicka and saying “Here you go Mama” and I saw an opportunity. Instead of a dish or something that needed to be put away, I gave Bobbie the ring box to take to her. Bobbie walked into the kitchen and said “here you go Mama” then we heard “Bobbie, what is that?”, a scream and what I sincerely hoped were happy tears. Then she came running out to the dining room, I got on my knee and said “will you marry me?”

The Rest Is History...
And we lived happily ever after.
